Trough feeding system for broiler breeder females

Roxell developed a unique feeding system, especially for the broiler parent stock - the Bridomat.

A few important factors were highlighted - a higher breeding result and uniformity of the animals, feed and labour savings, reduced stress with the animals and the prevention of selective feeding.

Higher Uniformity, Lower Mortality
With Bridomat, you get a fast and even distribution of the feed over the entire circuit, and this without separation. The auger transports the feed at a speed of 30 m per minute! The high speed of the auger and the tube above the trough make sure the animals cannot eat during feed transport. That way, all animals get equal chances.

High Feed Savings
Bridomat consists of a feed trough, an auger, a rotating tube and a drive. The trough has a characteristic shape. The feed remains at the bottom, protected by the auger. Accumulation and spillage of the feed, as well as selective eating are out of the question. Practice results show that a considerable feed saving is achieved.

Important Labour Savings
Bridomat is suspended and winchable. After each flock, you raise the system until it's above working-height. This allows you to clean the house easily. Dismantling the feeding system is totally redundant. A special cleaning-opening enables you to clean your Bridomat quickly and efficiently.

Animal Kind
Your animals have full freedom of movement. The rotating tube and the carefully manufactured feed trough prevent injuries or the trapping of your birds. The animals cannot sit on the rotating tube. "The feed as well as the system remain clean. Since Bridomat is no obstruc-tion in the house, floor-eggs are largely prevented.

Efficient Seprate Feeding leads to Better Fertilization
The rotating tube is adjustable in height (from 40-50 mm above the trough). This makes separate sex feeding possible earlier and more easily. With full-grown animals, we recommend a capacity of 13 to 15 hens per metre trough.

Of course, it would be perfect to feed the cocks completely separate. For that purpose, Roxell developed the Cockerel ™ - a feeding system for exclusively for cockerels. This gives you an excellent control over the weight of the males. The feed is immediately delivered in all the pans, so all cocks are fed simultaneously.

If you want to feed them as well via the Bridomat system, this can be done. You only have to adjust some tubes to a higher position.

Feeding with Rearing
Bridomat is extremely well suited for rearing of broiler breeders or pullets. Its unique concept enables you to influence the uniformity from an early age. From approximately 10 days onwards you can start a semi-automatic feed distribution by means of a remote control. After 3 weeks of age the birds are fed fully automatically. A considerable saving of feed is achieved because the feed is protected in the trough. In addition the rotating tube encourages the birds to eat in a proper manner. The system is animal-friendly, which reduces the risk of injuries and results in a lower mortality.

Optimal Feed Management
The Bridomat feed circuit is supplied by a Flex-Auger transport system which incorporates a system for weighing the feed. Aftetwards in the house it is divided per meal over the various circuits. The feed height in the trough is adjusted on the control-disc at the supply hopper. In between the feeding-cycles, the trough is practically cleared. This means your birds always receive fresh feed. The management happens by means of counters or via a feed computer.

Little Maintenence, Durable and Reliable
We manufacture all the parts of the Bridomat-feeding system under a strict quality-control, which guarantees a long durability. The elbows are made of tempered steel, while the auger gets a 10 year pro rata warranty. Bridomat has no corner wheels. Mechanical maintenance is therefore practically eliminated.
